TEfl teaching practicum

Visit real Japanese schools, gain real classroom teaching experience, conduct a series of high-energy English day camps and earn a TEFL certificate with your team in Japan!

During Summer Term, Fall Term and Winter term of 2024-25, GHJ International will invite 20 – 30 (each term) college students (or college graduates) to Japan to participate in an English Teaching Practicum program, sponsored by the Munakata City (Fukuoka Prefecture) government and local board of education. Selected participants in the program will receive TEFL
(Teaching of English as a Foreign Language) training and low-stress team-teaching experience in the public
school system. They will also have an opportunity to learn and/or improve Japanese language skills with local
university tutors and to stay one or more weekends with local Japanese host families. Interns will also have
the option of earning a 120-Hour TEFL Certificate.
